Instructions and tips for setting up your 2024 campaign
Let the 2024 Fundraising Begin!
Here are instructions and tips for managing your 2024 registration, logging in to your AIDS Walk New York Supporter Center/Profile, and personalizing your individual and team fundraising pages.
We hope this information makes the fundraising process as smooth as possible!
GMHC uses the platform Classy to support and raise funds for AIDS Walk New York and GMHC. If you support other nonprofits that partner with Classy, they’ll appear in your Classy Supporter Center/Profile along with AIDS Walk New York and GMHC.

Registration
Whether this is your first time participating or you are a returning walker, you’ll need to register and create a new fundraising page for 2024.
For returning participants, your Classy usernames and passwords are the same.
Logging In
Your Classy account gives you access to all fundraising pages you’ve set up with AIDS Walk New York. There are several ways to login.
- Classy Sign in page
- Your individual, fundraising page, team page, or campaign landing page
- Email prompts from donation receipts, recurring donations, or fundraising page notifications
If you forget your password, you can easily reset your password by selecting “Forgot Password?” on the login page. If you have an account, Classy will email you a password reset code. Learn more about password reset.

How to Customize your 2024 Fundraising Page
Once you create an account or log in, you’ll need to set up the details of your page.
Follow the prompts to enter your fundraising details including your fundraising goal and your fundraising page headline.
Lastly, upload a profile picture for your fundraising page. We encourage adding one to personalize your page. You can always change it later!
After creating your page, you can customize it!
To do so, select Manage in the top-right of the page to open your editor. From there you can change the Story content, post updates, change your page details such as your profile picture, and create a vanity URL.
Don’t forget to share your page through Facebook, Twitter/X, Email, or Text! This guide on Classy walks you through the process.
→ IMPORTANT: Vanity URLs
A vanity URL is simply a shorter version of your fundraising page’s website address. Short URLs are easier to share and look nicer on social media.
Please note that once a vanity URL is used for a fundraising or team page it can’t be used again. If you want to use your 2023 vanity URL in 2024, you’ll need to add 2024 or some other indicator of the year at the end of the URL.
For example, let’s say my 2023 vanity URL was gmhc.aidswalkny.org/carlsmith. If I wanted to use “carlsmith” again in 2024, I could add either 2024 or 24 to the end of the URL (e.g. gmhc.aidswalkny.org/carlsmith2024 or gmhc.aidswalkny.org/carlsmith24).

How to Share your 2024 Fundraising Page with 2023 Supporters
For those of you who participated in AIDS Walk New York 2023 as a fundraiser, you’ll want to let your donors and supporters know that you’re fundraising again in 2024.
Since there are a couple ways you can do this, we’ve created a set of videos that walk you through two options. Check them out!
IMPORTANT: Be sure to register for 2024 and set up your 2024 fundraising page before updating your 2023 supporters.
